CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE GARDEN FAIRE, 2011
A small measure of your time, energy and creativity can help to make The Garden Faire for 2011 a success! The annual event has become a local tradition and an enjoyable occasion for exhibitors, visitors and volunteers alike.

Here are occasions and tasks for which volunteers are needed:
Friday, June 24, 2011 (the day before the Faire)
From 1:00 to 5:00, we will mark locations of the booths and “pop-up” a few pop-up canopies. Many hands make short work.
Saturday, June 25, 2011
This is the day of The Garden Faire. There will be three categories of tasks:
1. Exhibitor Support
Exhibitors will arrive as early as 7:00 a.m., and set up their booths by 9:00. We will need to help them unload their plants and other items, and bring them to their assigned space. Vehicles are not allowed on the soccer fields.
One Shift 7:00 – 9:00
2. Faire Information Booth
This will be the entry and exit to the Faire. While we do not charge admission, we will need to greet visitors, answer their questions, and ask them to complete a brief survey as they leave.
First Shift 7:00 – 9:00
Second Shift 9:00 – 11:00
Third Shift 11:00 – 1:00
Fourth Shift 1:00 – 3:00
Fifth Shift 3:00 – 6:00
3. Speaker Support
During the day we will have five speakers in the Speaker's Tent. We will need one or two people at a time to coordinate their presentations, introduce them to the audiences, and generally keep the event moving well.
First Shift 9:00 – 11:00
Second Shift 11:00 – 1:00
Third Shift 1:00 – 3:00
Fourth Shift 3:00 – 5:00
4. Roving Ambassadors
These volunteers will watch for anyone who has questions or needs assistance. The Roving Ambassadors (and all the volunteers) will have some sort of identification to be recognizable to the visitors.
First Shift 7:00 – 9:00
Second Shift 9:00 – 11:00
Third Shift 11:00 – 1:00
Fourth Shift 1:00 – 3:00
Fifth Shift 3:00 – 6:00
5. Take-down Crew
One shift 5:00 – 6:00
